Testing WebInterface - User Error

Postby caoimhghin17 » 2. Aug 2007, 13:58

I receive the following error, I have given this user full control on all directories listed in the documentation and then some.

Checking execute permissions ...
alert("Error: System.NullReferenceException\nMessage: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.\nSource: liwi\n at ViewGenerator.LogManPath()\n\nDate/Time: 8/2/2007 8:47 AM\nCulture: en-US\n\nUnable to create GlobalContext in HandleError");_CMDTYPESEPERATOR_No execute privileges for LOGINventory program folder. User SHEPHERD\KBOONE needs execute privileges.
Test not passed!

Hello,

No execute privileges for LOGINventory program folder. User SHEPHERD\KBOONE needs execute privileges.

That means that you have to ensure that the user SHEPHERD\KBOONE has appropriate privileges (execute permission) to the LOGINventory program folder, which is "c:\%programfiles%\LOGIN\LOGINventory4" by default.

Thanks, for the quick response, I have double checked the permissions, this account is part of the local Administrator Group as well as having explicit rights starting at C:\ and going down through all the folders for Logininventory. This account is also part of the Domain Admins group which is also in the local Administrators group, so permissions should be covered for this account, I have even added this account to the files security. I am running windows xp 64bit, would this cause an issue?

Hello,

The Webinterface does not run in an 64 Bit environment. We will add a setup check to prevent installation on 64 bit machines. Kindly excuse those circumstances.
