Some questions about V5

Hello,

my compliments for the new (betá) version of Loginventory (5). It has some features I'd really like to use. I have some questions regarding V5:

1. When can we expect it to be released?

2. Can I group hardware (so create my own groups in the overview, would be handy with different servers for different clients).

3. Will the web interface be modified to?

4. One feature I like very much is the possibility to add documents. But, in this version of the beta you can only give a link to a document. Could you guys make it so that you can "upload" the document in the database, so it will be part of Loginventory instead of some urls to documents? That would be very great!

Thank you for your interest and your feedback to LOGINventory5.

1. Within 3 months depending on the feedback & problems
2. Yes, you can! Create a new query in the Analyse node with your customer filter. After this create a sub-query and select 'Display as default node' in properties and choose e.g. Assets. With this procedure you are able to create all predefined nodes as sub-nodes of a filter.
3. Yes, some weeks later
4. Binary storage is not common for all the supported databases. As a first (and common) approach we offer the opportunity to link to documents

Regarding Topic 4:

Linking to the documents is fine! But there should be a "Browse..." button. In our company we would attach real files (no hyperlinks) in most of the cases - but entering a complete path is very "time-consuming"... Or to use own word: Uncommon...

Is there already a new version of the webinterface? If so where can I find it? If not can i still use webinterface 4.5.8 in combination with loginventory 5.0.2.0 Build 3103 ?
